Live dealer poker at GemBet
Real dealers, real cards, streamed from a studio to your screen. You play your hand against the dealer's, and every round runs on the table's own timer.
How a live round works
- Place your ante while the betting window is open, plus any side bets you want. When the timer runs out, the round starts without a late bet.
- The cards are dealt. You see your own cards. Most of the dealer's stay face down until the end.
- Call or fold. Calling adds a further bet to stay in the hand; folding gives up the ante. Some games add a choice to raise, swap or buy cards.
- The hands are compared. The dealer reveals, and the better hand wins under the game's paytable. Side bets are paid on their own.
The lobby
Live poker tables at GemBet
As listed in GemBet's live poker lobby on 20 October 2026, grouped by how they play. Tables are added and removed over time, so the lobby itself has the current list.
Hold'em against the dealer
You and the dealer each get two cards, and community cards are shared on the table. You build your best five-card hand from all of them. Betting steps vary: in some games you decide after the flop, in others you can raise earlier.

A five-card stud game against the dealer, with no community cards. Most versions let you pay to exchange cards or buy an extra one before you decide. Each table's rules panel lists the options it has.

Glossary
Words you will see at the table
- Ante
- The first bet, placed before any cards are dealt.
- Call
- A second bet that keeps you in the hand. Its size is set by the game, often a multiple of the ante.
- Fold
- Giving up the hand. You lose the ante but bet nothing more.
- Hole cards
- The cards dealt to you or the dealer alone.
- Community cards
- Cards on the table that both you and the dealer use. In Hold'em they come as the flop (three cards), then the turn and the river.
- Qualify
- In some games the dealer needs a minimum hand for the round to play out in full. The rules panel says what happens to your bets if it does not.
- Side bet
- An optional extra bet that pays on your own cards, whatever the dealer holds. It has its own paytable.
- Paytable
- The list of what each winning hand or side bet pays, such as 3:1. It is set by each game.
- RTP
- Return to player: the share of stakes a game pays back as an average over a very large number of rounds. It does not predict a single session.
Side bets and your budget
Side bets can pay well on a strong hand, and they are offered every round. They are still part of the same stake. Count them in your budget, and check their paytable in the game before you add one.
